Duke Academy, an English Institute in Busan, Korea is accepting applications for qualified English teachers. The contract period starts in September.

With a revolutionary program called IMT (Intensive Memory Training), the private academy incorporates online/multimedia learning with classroom education, through a well researched curriculum that accelerates students¡¯ acquisition of vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The various classes will complement each other under a unified theme to connect the teaching points to achieve a more complete learning experience as well as developing teamwork and social skills.

Qualified applicants must be mature, responsible native English speakers who hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher. Teaching experience with a good track record is necessary. English or education major and/or TESOL certification or equivalent is a plus.

Duke Academy is run by a family who has lived in the US for more than 15 years, and has quite possibly the most supportive, friendly, and enjoyable working environment in all of Busan. You will be working with a very straightforward and down to earth managing staff seldom found in Korean hakwons.

Subject: English conversation, writing, speaking.
Student Age: Elementary to Jr. High School students

Contract Period: 1 year and renewal basis
Visa Type: Teaching visa (E-2 visa)
Visa Processing Time: Minimum 3~4 weeks

Qualifications:
* Degree: a BA or higher
* Must have a Canada, US, UK, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand passport
* Must be a native English speaker
* NO criminal record!!!!
******Although any majors are welcome, applicants with Ed degrees, or TESOL, TEFL certifications are preferred (will reflect salary)

Monthly Salary: 2.1 mil-2.8 mil Korean won (depending on experience/qualifications)
Teaching Hours: Mon-Fri @ 20~25 hours per week
Class period: 50 minutes

Process:

2) Phone interviews with employers in South Korea
3) Mock classroom session/final interview through skype
3) Signing a contract
4) Sending required documents to South Korea including criminal background check (FBI issued for those from the US)
5) Getting a teaching visa at the nearby Korean Consulate
