About Job
The Foreign Language Institute of Jeju National University(FLI-JNU) is looking for a full-time English instructor. A native speaker of English with a bachelor degree plus a minimum TESOL/TEFL certificate is needed. A master's degree in TESOL is preferred and experience teaching at college level will be highly regarded.
Jeju island is the premier tourist destination in Korea. Scenic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves lie in harmony. Also, the Jeju National University campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.
**(Must Read) Teaching Environment:
Teachers teach one or two early morning classes(8am) and children's classes in the late afternoon(3pm~6pm) followed by the usual evening classes(last class finishes at 7:50pm). There are some extra classes which are added for special purposes periodically. This schedule lasts for a six week period and then a two or three weeks period follows in which we usually are only responsible for our kids' classes.
The Foreign Language Institute hosts both summer and winter camps for college students and children. These periods bring a much heavier workload than the rest of the year, but teachers are paid for overtime.

*The conditions:
1) Contract period: September 1, 2013 to August 31, 2014
2) 80 working hours per month
3) Salary: 2.1 mil KRW with BA or BS degree/ 2.2 mil KRW with Masters or higher degree
4) Overtime pay: 25,000 KRW/hr
5) Housing: 300,000 KRW/month (we do not provide housing)
6) Research allowance: 100,000 KRW/month
6) Severance pay upon completion of one year contract.
7) Medical insurance: 50%
8) 4 weeks paid vacation(required to use it between sessions)
9) Current # of foreign Instructors: 4 (e-mail address is available upon request)
10) Airfare: 500,000 KRW support if you are traveling from another country
