About Job

Myongji Elementary School is a Christian private school with 720 students (5 classes in each grade & 24 students in each class) It is located in Hongeun Dong, Seodaemun Gu, Seoul.

1. Position :
Instructor of English (Native Speaker of English)
1 position at Seoul, Preference given to those already in Korea.

2. Duration of Employment (Renewable) :
September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014

3. Qualifications :
* Master's or Bachelor's Degree plus Children(6~12) teaching experience.
* Elementary Education, English majors, Social Studies preferred.
* Someone who can love and care about students

4. Duties :
Teaching English conversation courses, plus office hours and staff meetings.
1) To have co-teaching with the Korean English teachers
2) To prepare teaching materials and develope English teaching methods
3) To assist with activities related to English Education and other extracurricular
activities within the place of employment
4) To join 2~3 weeks English camp for students during every vacation

5. Work hours
1) Employee shall work eight(8) hours per a day (09:00~17:00) for five(5) calendar days per a week from Monday to Friday and shall not work on Saturdays, Sundays and any national holidays of Republic of Korea.
2) Actual class instruction hours of Employee shall not exceed twenty five(25) hours per a week. (class hour 40 minutes)
3) Extra classes paid.

6. Salary and Benefits :
1) 2,600,000 won (Depending on qualifications or career and ability) per a month. Housing is included. * There is a pay raised when you re-work.
2) At successful completion of one-year contract, the Employee will be paid severance pay. Severance pay will be equal to one month's base salary.
3) 500,000 won per a month as a housing allowance
4) Health insurance (half-and-half)
5) Pension
6) Paid vacation of 5 weeks (summer(2), winter(2), and spring(1))
7) Extra pay for camps
